Our Fun Dog Show, this year sponsored by The Finnieston, returns on Sunday with some brilliant guest judges joining us throughout the day.
Each category winner will receive a £25 voucher for The Finnieston, one of Glasgow’s favourite dog-friendly restaurants, alongside a bespoke Nova Zeal x Barklove prize.
We’ll kick things off with our first category, hosted by Barklove founder Jenn alongside a very special guest.
We’re partnering with a local care home to welcome a resident whose lifelong love of dogs makes her the perfect person to help judge our furry entrants.
We’re delighted to welcome bestselling crime writer Harriet Tyce to the judging panel. As the author behind some of the UK’s most gripping thrillers, Harriet is perfectly placed to investigate your dog’s biggest misdemeanours.
Whether they’re a seasoned sock thief, expert food scavenger, escape artist or repeat offender, we want to hear the evidence.
Joining Harriet is Department Q and Still Game favourite Sanjeev Kohli. The actor, writer and broadcaster will help Harriet and us find the dogs with that undeniable star quality as we crown this year’s Barklove Icons.
This category is open to every dog. Perhaps it’s their incredible rescue story, their unwavering loyalty, their impact on their family or simply the joy they bring to everyone they meet. If your dog is your icon, we want to hear why.
How to Enter
Think your dog has what it takes? You can enter your pup at the Information Desk on the day, up to 20 minutes before the category starts. Or, to get ahead of the game, email us in advance at hello@barklove.co.uk
Entries are free, although donations are warmly welcomed. This year, all proceeds from the Fun Dog Show will support Give a Dog a Bone and its work tackling loneliness and social isolation among older people through the companionship of dogs
