To ensure the safety and wellbeing of everyone attending, we ask that only dogs who are up to date with their core vaccinations (DHPP/L, Rabies if required) and in good health are brought to Barklove.

If your dog is showing any signs of illness — such as vomiting, diarrhoea, coughing, lethargy, or eye/nose discharge — please keep them at home. Dogs recovering from recent surgery or illness should also not attend.

To help everyone feel comfortable and secure, all dogs must remain on a short lead throughout the event at all times.

Flexi leads are permitted only when locked to a short length in busy areas.

Please avoid allowing dogs to approach others without clear permission from the owner.

If your breed of dog is required by law to wear a muzzle please ensure you do this before attending.

We’ll have fresh water bowls placed throughout the venue indoors and outdoors, please keep your dog hydrated, especially if it’s warm. If it’s a hot day, we recommend arriving early and avoiding peak heat hours.

We love dogs, but no one loves surprises underfoot! Please pick up after your dog immediately and dispose of waste in the designated bins provided. Free poo bags will also be available at the venue and we will have a designated toilet area.

In the event of a issue, we will direct you to the nearest veterinary clinic.

A member of our team can help coordinate transport or emergency support.Please report any dog-related health concerns or incidents immediately to our team, who will be wearing identifiable event lanyards or shirts.

If the weather is hot, please take extra care to avoid heatstroke, which can develop rapidly in dogs. Look for signs like excessive panting, drooling, weakness, vomiting, or collapse. Certain breeds (e.g. flat-faced dogs like Bulldogs or Pugs) and older dogs are at higher risk.

Shaded areas will be provided on-site, but please consider bringing your own cooling mat, vest, or portable shade if your dog is especially heat-sensitive.

For everyone’s safety, please monitor your dog’s behaviour closely. If your dog becomes reactive or overwhelmed, we ask that you calmly move them to a quiet space. Persistent barking, growling, lunging, or mounting may indicate stress and could disrupt other attendees.

Dogs must never be left unattended, tethered, or crated.

In case of an emergency (health or behaviour related), Barklove reserves the right to request that a dog be removed from the venue immediately to preserve the safety and enjoyment of others. Your cooperation ensures a welcoming experience for everyone.
